We are within walking or short driving distance to many outdoor activities. The Swatara Rail Trail Waterville Bridge is directly across the street from us. Swatara State Park is a short shuttle drive away and offers hiking, mountain biking, fishing and kayaking, wildlife, and more. If you enjoy history about early settlements, take a short shuttle trip to Stony Valley which was originally settled in 1824 after the discovery of coal in the area. We are also close to grocery stores and several restaurants.
We are right next to the Swatara Rail Trail, a great flat trail perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride.
This beautiful state park has miles of biking and hiking trails and plenty of opportunities for kayaking & fishing. The historic Bordner cabin can be seen here.
If you are into history about early settlements, you will want to take a “Zero Day” to explore The Stony Valley. You can rent a bicycle from us, and we will shuttle you to and from the rail trail access point to the Stony Valley.
