Please do not make a reservation if you are not coming here from hiking the Appalachian Trail, in some fashion. Our property and facilities have been set up solely to provided accommodations to hikers. Our preferred guests arrive here on foot!

Stay-AT-Swatara Amenities
Bear Essentials
- Local shuttle - Pip’s Shuttles call 717-371-7646
- Supplies/Food/Drinks/Firewood - for purchase
- Gourmet coffee - for purchase
- Showers - 1 shower per 24 hours included with stay/$5 for passerbys or for guests who want more than 1 shower per day. Please help us and conserve water when you stay with us. We have a shallow well and a holding tank for our septic system. Every drop of water that goes in must get pumped out. It is expensive to have done. We ask your help with this so we may keep our rates affordable for all hikers.
- Communal campfire & firewood - campfire included with stay
- Natural spring water - free for all hikers
- Gas grill - included with stay
- Laundry & loaner clothes - $5 each load (includes washer/dryer). Loaner clothes included with laundry. We have a clothesline for gear drying.
- Overnight parking $10/day. Limited spots - only 3 available
- Charging station (also available to passerbys - we just ask that you make a purchase at the snack shack)

Showers

- Hot showers are included with your stay. One shower per 24 hour stay. Additional showers are $5. If you are just passing through, showers are $5. Primitive Lodging

- We offer primitive camping on a grassy lawn with your own tent. A base camp tent with cots is coming soon.
Laundry
$ 5 / load
- A load of laundry is $5 each. Includes washer & dryer. Loaner clothes are available to wear during laundry.
